Yantai Leawat Power Technology Co., Ltd. invests RMB 10 billion to build the 25GWh Large Cylindrical Battery Project, focusing on mass production of high-rate tabless 46mm large cylindrical batteries. Leawat will be equipped with a 150ppm high-speed mass production line compatible with five major material systems, including lithium iron phosphate, lithium manganese iron phosphate, ternary lithium, lithium titanate, and sodium-ion. The production line will mass-produce first batch of 46mm large cylindrical batteries in 2025, becoming the world's first mass production line for large cylindrical batteries, and leading industry development with core technological strength.
Breaking through performance limitations with 11 core technologies
With 11 self-developed core technologies, Leawat Power achieves a perfect integration of ultra-high rate, high specific energy, long cycle life, and ultimate safety in its 46mm large cylindrical battery products:
Ultra-high power, and ultra-fast charging: Leawat Power has pioneered a structural innovation globally. Through a full-dimensional current conduction balance design of structural components, the Company has completely eliminated the internal and external tab design of the roll core, creating a true tabless structure, and thoroughly removing current flow bottlenecks such as welds and connecting tabs.
